Our Leaders

We’ve been blessed with an insanely great group of teachers. Learn a little bit about them here, or, better yet, come meet them this week in our Sunday Bible studies.

Robert & Allison Privette – Freshmen & Sophomores

Allison grew up traveling between Beaufort, SC and Air Force bases around the world. Robert lived in the same house between the ages of 3 and 20. Fortunately, Allison decided to come to UF. They met at the BCM, and Robert immediately fell in love. God in His kindness convinced Allison to give Robert a chance. They were married in 1998. They now have three children: Coley, Kate and Elizabeth.

Curtis & Kimberly Taylor – Juniors

Curtis & Kimberly met at age 18 as classmates at the University of Maryland. On their first date, Curtis said “Would you like to see my money?”. Kimberly said “Yes!”, and he proceeded to show her currency he had collected from different places in the world. It was a precursor of the travel and adventures to come. They married in 1999, and promptly moved to Fayetteville, AR, then Richmond, VA, and now to Gainesville, FL — all university towns. All places where they were blessed with opportunities to serve in college/career ministry. Curtis and Kimberly enjoy watching movies, eating, sleeping (whenever the kids let them), traveling, walks on the beach, and relaxing with friends and family. The couple has two boys, Zachariah & Desmond.

Murray & Patty Sinclair – Seniors

Patty is originally from Honduras and Murray is from South Africa. They both grew up on dairy farms. They met in Bell, Florida while participating on an International Dairy Training Program through UF. Patty has a degree on Animal Science/Dairy Industry from UF; and Murray has a degree in Biblical Studies/Minor in History from Southeastern College (also Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary). They have four children Daniel, David, Samuel and Nina. Everyone in the family, except for little Nina, has accepted the Lord Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.

David & Janna Oberg – Grads

David and Janna met at Oregon State University and were married in 1991. David a Computer Science major, now works as an R&D Manager at Sage where he designs medical software. Janna stays very busy homeschooling their four wonderful children, Jared, Jenny, Courtney and Sarah.

Chrissy & Mark Severance – Everybody

Mark and Chrissy met eighteen years ago while attending North Central Baptist as college students. They have now come full circle and are so grateful to be a part of our college ministry. Mark works full time at Southern Precast as a purchasing agent. Chrissy is a full time stay at home mom who has the privilege to home school their nine year old daughter Grace. God blessed their family seven years ago with the adoption of their son Joshua. Joshua is a US Marine currently stationed in Hawaii.
